The EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival is back for its 26th year. This year, the festival runs from March 4th – June 4th. Returning this year is the Garden Rocks Concert Series, beautifully grown topiaries, guided tours, special events, outdoor kitchens, play areas, gardens and exhibits.
The Garden Rocks Concert Series features performances 7 days a week showcasing performers like Sister Hazel, The Pointer Sisters, Blood Sweat & Tears, Flock of Seagulls, and Rick Springfield to name a few. If there’s a performance that you’re particularly interested in, you may want to consider a dining package that includes guaranteed seating.
The topiaries are a favorite of mine and this years include Anna & Elsa, Bambi and Friends, Beauty & the Beast, Buzz Lightyear, Donald, Daisy, Fantasia and so many more. In addition to the topiaries, you can also stroll through some gardens such as the Bamboo Garden, English Tea Garden, Shakespeare Garden, and the Butterfly house.
The EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival also offers some great tours if you’re interested in learning a bit more. While these tours do require an additional fee, they are a great value. You can explore the Gardens of the World as part of a small group who is guided through World Showcase with a knowledgable Disney horticulturist. The English Tea Garden tour is included with your park admission but advanced registration is required. You’ll learn about the art of growing and blending the variety of plants that are vital to the creation of your favorite teas. Another tour located in the UK Pavilion, The Royal Tea Garden tour, leads you through an elegant tea garden and includes a stop at the Tea Caddy where you’ll be offered tea and scones.
The Outdoor Kitchens are a highlight of the Flower and Garden Festival. This year the festival plays host to 13 kiosks with something for everyone’s taste pallet. From sweet frushi to a savory southern seafood boil this year’s festival is sure to please.
